I found my calling when I wasn’t looking

A few years ago I took a break and went to Ukraine to volunteer at an animal shelter. I thought I’d just be walking dogs and cleaning up after them. But I ended up helping the shelter set up a charity, draft partnership agreements, and figure out how to work with vendors.

That wasn’t why I came — but it’s what they needed. And it reminded me that most of the people I care about working with don’t need “legal.” They need help making things work, without getting stuck in the mess
.
That’s what I do now: help remote teams and founders protect what they’re building, in a way that makes sense for how they actually work.

The traditional path never really fit.

I grew up in a family of lawyers, so I thought I’d follow the usual path. Law school, firm job, big desk. And for a while, I did. But it didn’t feel like me.

I’ve always preferred figuring things out with people who are building something from scratch — especially remote teams who work across borders and time zones. That’s what led me to start my own legal practice. I’ve worked inside a remote startup, helped teams clean up their legal messes, and supported founders who just want things done clearly and calmly.

Now I work async and help remote workers stay protected while they run their business.
